RNA's Products - RNAcache and RNAmessenger
Currently available RNA products, RNAcache and RNAmessenger, deliver optimized data center utilization, performance, and reliability with minimum risk and immediate business results.

RNAcache virtualizes memory into a Collaborative Cache. RNAcache is designed for applications that are I/O intensive and can take advantage of large scale memory sharing, with RNAcache application data and network bottlenecks are removed.

Specifically designed to deliver messages with ultra-low latency, RNAmessenger virtualizes messaging solutions into a Collaborative Cache. With RNAmessenger, high-volume certified transaction processing is enabled. Small message sizes (i.e. hundreds of bytes) are handled as efficiently as large data sets.

Deployment
RNAcache and RNAmessenger are bundled and delivered with the RNA Appliance to provide simple deployment and operation. RNA products can be implemented on a dedicated high-performance overlay network or as part of the established GbE network fabric. Since memory virtualization is application centric, RNA’s products work with most commonly deployed operating system kernels.

RNAcache

RNAcache provides large scale, sharable network memory resources to applications that are I/O intensive and can take advantage of memory sharing or greater memory capacity. Through virtualization RNAcache consolidates servers and server memory over the network to unleash your business-critical applications.

When operating on a single node with large working datasets, RNA commonly perform data reads at 1.7 GB/s and writes at 1.1 GB/s, compared to data centers without RNA that typically perform reads at 200 MB/s and writes at 55 MB/s. RNAcache can be implemented parallel to scale its performance and provide tremendous aggregate throughput. RNAcache can easily scale to provide 10s of GB/s to the application end user.

RNAcache is a shared, network attached virtualized memory cache. RNAcache caches both data and metadata across nodes linked by common or high-speed fabric, GbE and 10GbE/InfiniBand. RNAcache infrastructure software manages the Collaborative Cache for optimum resource utilization in the data center delivering measurable application acceleration in both read as well as write modes of operation. RNAcache works with commonly available data center operating systems.

RNAcache is bundled and delivered with the RNA Appliance to provide simple deployment and operation. With RNAcache there are two software components, RNAdriver and RNAserver. Servers use RNAdriver to access the memory pool (read/write). Servers can also contribute memory resources to the cache using RNAserver.

The RNA Appliance provides a web-based console to manage and monitor RNAcache as well as a command-line interface.
