The Colfax DigiStation CX980 is powered by the latest Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors. The Colfax DigiStation CX980 is designed to scale as your application and workload demands change. Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors are designed for optimum multi-threaded application performance. Native quad-core design – features four cores on a single die for more efficient data sharing – and add an enhanced cache structure and integrated memory controller designed to sustain multi-threaded application throughput. By combining the power of AMD Processor technology with Vegas Pro software, video producers can fully realize their creative potential.

The graphics offerings on the Colfax DigiStation CX980 can handle the demands of Open GL 3D operations for DCC applications with ease. The Colfax DigiStation CX980 offers a wide range of high-performance graphics cards including the ATI Radeon™ HD 4870, configured with multiple monitors for maximum workspace flexibility.
Flexible Storage
The Colfax DigiStation CX980 supports four 3.5-inch internal hard drive bays for an enormous amount of internal storage — up to 4TB when you install four 1TB Serial ATA 3Gb/s drives. 1 The Colfax DigiStation CX980 provides advanced hard drive technology with SATA and SAS drives offering an ideal balance of high capacity and outstanding performance.
Engineered for Speed and Protection
For the ultimate in data protection and enhanced performance, add a RAID card with 256MB of RAID cache, an optional cache-protecting battery, and hardware RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 50, 60 and JBOD.
Blu-ray and DVD Burners
With support for two optical drive bays, the Colfax DigiStation CX980 lets you author both a standard-definition DVD and a high-definition Blu-ray Disc™. Burn Blu-ray discs directly from the timeline for high-definition delivery. Create standard DVDs with multiple video angles, subtitles, multiple languages, and running commentary. Colfax DigiStation CX980 supports the latest Blu-ray and DVD burners, including dual-layer DVD burners, so you can author much longer projects on double capacity discs.
