AMD and Sony Creative Software engineering teams have collaborated to ensure Vegas Pro 64-bit takes full advantage of the scalability of the native Quad-Core architecture of AMD Opteron™ and Phenom™ II X4 processors.

Sony Creative Software was one of the first developers to begin porting their software applications to 64-bit computing in direct collaboration with AMD, who developed the 64-bit extensions for the standard x86 computer architecture and Windows operating system. Additionally, Sony Creative Software was the first to support 64-bit computing with a video editing program, quickly providing customers with a software option that would take full advantage of the enhanced x86 computing platform.

Vegas Pro provides users increased editing power and flexibility to work with complex, memory-intensive 3D projects and high definition (HD) content. The Sony Creative Software engineering team has also threaded their applications for AMD’s multicore technology, allowing for faster video editing in a parallel processing environment.

Vegas™ Pro software powered by AMD processor technology and ATI graphics gives video producers the ability to fully realize their creative potential.
